Lenovo launches Legion 5i, Legion 5i Pro, Legion Slim 7i with refresh processor and fast charging support

Lenovo recently unveiled a bunch of new Legion laptops with stylish designs at an event called “Experience Smarter” in India. The new models are – Lenovo Legion 5i, Legion 5i Pro, and Legion Slim 7i. These three new laptops have been introduced as part of the company's 'Smarter Innovation' programme. The company claims these will offer – 12th generation Intel Core CPUs, more advanced graphics cards and longer battery life. Additionally, each model will run Windows 11 and come with pre-installed Microsoft Office apps.

Let's take a detailed look at the Lenovo Legion 5i, Legion 5i Pro and Legion Slim 7i price, availability and specifications.

Specification of Lenovo Legion 5i, Legion 5i Pro, Legion Slim 7i

The state-of-the-art Lenovo Legion 5i and Legion 5i Pro laptops come with a 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700H (i7-12700H) processor with a turbo boost rate of up to 4.6 GHz. Both the models have Nvidia GeForce RTXTM 3060 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. The Legion series laptops come with a 60Wh capacity battery, which can charge the device up to 80% in just 30 minutes. Again, they use AI Engine 2.0 to ensure a seamless gaming experience, capable of independently analyzing games, increasing system performance, and increasing frame-per-second (FPS) rates by up to 20%.

However, there are some differences between the Lenovo Legion 5i and 5i Pro models. For example, the Legion 5i laptop has up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and 512 GB of M.2 SSD storage. It has a 15.8-inch WQHD (2560 × 1440 pixels) IPS display, which supports 300 nits peak brightness, 165 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamet.

On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro laptop comes with up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of M.2 SSD storage. It features a 16-inch WQXGA (2560×1600 pixels) IPS display. This display supports 500 nits peak brightness, 165 Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut, Dolby Vision, HDR 400, G-Scan. Also, special technology has been used in this display panel for low blue light emission.

Another recently launched laptop is the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i. It was a standout device at the event hosted by Lenovo. This is a lightweight gaming laptop that weighs less than 2 kg. In terms of internal specifications, the Legion Slim 6i laptop comes with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an optional RTX 3060TI graphics card. It has up to 24 GB of DDR5 RAM (8 GB soldered + 16 GB SO-DIMM) and up to 1 terabyte of M.2 SSD storage. In addition, the model has a 16-inch WCXGA (2560 × 1600 pixels) display, which supports 500 net peak brightness, 165 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamet.

All three new laptops from Lenovo are powered by Windows 11 operating system and will come with the 'Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021' Office app pre-installed.

Lenovo Legion 5i, Legion 5i Pro and Legion Slim 7i laptops are priced at Rs 1,44,990, Rs 1,64,990 and Rs 1,50,990 respectively. The laptop trio in question has already been made available for pre-order through the company's official website (Lenovo.com) and Lenovo Exclusive Shops. And starting July 23, the models will be available for purchase through Amazon India and other online shopping sites and retail channels.
