Xiaomi 12 Ultra with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset is coming in July

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo today. Through this post, he has confirmed that the arrival of a new Xiaomi flagship smartphone is going to happen in July. Incidentally, the upcoming flagship phone has been developed in collaboration with US-based semiconductor brand Qualcomm. And this phone is likely to be Xiaomi 12 Ultra (Xiaomi 12 Ultra). It is rumored to come with a price tag of about ৩ 1,350 (about Rs 1,05,000 in Indian prices) next month.

In addition, various reports have claimed that this flagship model of the Xiaomi 12 series will come with a Snapdragon 6 + Gen1 processor. It will have up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of onboard storage. At the same time, the device will be offered with a 6.8-inch Quad HD Plus AMOLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra phone has a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. For power backup, the smartphone is expected to use a 4,600 mAh battery with support for 8-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging technology.

Lei Jun added in his post that the Snapdragon 6 + Gen1 chipset, codenamed SM8475, will show a 'big difference in performance and energy consumption. For example, OnePlus is now working on a new smartphone called the OnePlus 10T, which could make its debut in the third quarter of this year with this chipset.
